Jacob Miller (1952–1980) was one of Jamaica's most charismatic and influential reggae singers. Often nicknamed "Killer," he is best remembered as the lead singer of the band Inner Circle and for his distinct, powerful vibrato. He began his career at just 13 years old, recording for Clement "Coxsone" Dodd at the legendary Studio One. In the mid-1970s, he collaborated with producer Augustus Pablo. This partnership resulted in roots reggae classics like "Baby I Love You So" and "False Rasta." Joining Inner Circle in 1974, he helped the band achieve massive success with hits like "Tenement Yard," "Mixed Up Moods," and "Disciplined Child."
