Late Night Debut, hosted by Amber Keller

This week we feature Jacob Rubin’s debut novel, The Poser, published by Viking Books. The Los Angeles Review of Books says, “The Poser is full of hilarious episodes and topical delights, but don’t be fooled: this is a profound meditation on love, ambition, and self-knowledge.”

Act 1: Host Amber Keller covers entertaining book news and cool new debuts

Act 2: Co-host authors Leslie Jamison and Justin Hocking discuss Jacob Rubin’s debut

Act 3: Amber speaks with Jacob about pacing, writing about writing, and finding out what the story really is

I sometimes think of it as almost like the way documentarians talk about making a film where they shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and then later winnow down what they’ve shot to shape their story.”

GIVEAWAY: Win a free copy of The Poser. Listen to the episode for details, then email your answer to [email protected] by midnight on March 29.
