It is something that should never happen - parents outliving their child, but for the Latta's it happened on a Sunday afternoon in Irmo. Their son Jacoby was playing at a park, and in an instant, their lives changed, as he lost his. A limb from a tree he was playing near fell on the 3 year old, mortally injuring him.

The Latta's took that pain and grief, and turned into a resource for other parents, siblings, and family members who are dealing with the loss.
