Jacquizz "Quizz" Rodgers arrived at Oregon State and quickly made an impact. In one of the most memorable games in program history, Rodgers rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns to help the Beavers upset No. 1 USC on national television, announcing himself as one of college football's most dynamic playmakers.

Over the next three seasons, Rodgers became a cornerstone of Oregon State's offense and one of the most accomplished players in school history. He recorded 19 games with more than 100 rushing yards and was one of just four players in program history to surpass 1,000 yards rushing and receiving while also topping 1,000 rushing yards in each of his three seasons. His accolades included Pac-10 freshman of the year, Pac-10 offensive player of the year and first-team all-conference honors in all three seasons.

In this episode of Beyond the Field, Rodgers reflects on the mindset that fueled his breakout performance against USC and how his transition from high school to college football removed pressure and allowed him to focus on doing his job. He also shares insight into his decision to leave early for the NFL draft, the mental demands of competing at the professional level and the lessons he learned while building an eight-year career in the league.

Now back in Texas, Rodgers is giving back to the game as a high school coach and trainer. He works with young athletes in his community, emphasizing discipline, preparation and the importance of education. After finishing his degree through Oregon State's eCampus program, he continues to use his experience to mentor the next generation while staying connected to Beaver Nation.
