Jake Beiting quickly rose to "stardom" as the head strength and conditioning coach for the Houston Astros. In his fifth season with the team, the Astros won the championship. Beiting moved on after a difference of opinions with management the next season and decided to return home to his extended family in northeast Ohio.  He is currently finishing up his Doctoral degree in sports science and works as a visiting professor at John Carroll University in Cleveland.  He still trains athletes on the side and may even get back into pro ball someday--perhaps as a director of sports science.  But, he's currently enjoying his role as a family man in northeast Ohio with his four children and wife, Maggie, who herself was quite an athlete in high school and college.
