Paywalls have typically been thought of as the way of the future in terms of charging people for their content, but that could be set to change.
One Auckland business education site is dropping its paywall this morning, to help with their bid into the United States.
Unfiltered chief executive Jake Millar told Mike Hosking this model has worked very well in New Zealand, but it's a different story in the US.
"When you turn up with a locked up platform with content nobody can watch in a market that is one of the most competitive in the world, it is hard to cut through."
