16 marraskuuta vuonna 2001, Monroen piirikunnan poliisille soitettiin, ja pyydettiin hyvinvointitarkistusta Benjamin Amaton kotiin. Naapuri oli huolissaan, kun ei ollut nähnyt miestä hetkeen. Mennessään taloon sisälle, Ben löydettiin sieltä kuolleena. Aluksi ajateltiin, että mies oli tehnyt itsemurhan, sillä oli jo aiemmin ollut itsetuhoinen. Pian kuitenkin selvisi, että hänet oli murhattu. Kuka oli murhannut Benin?
