James, the brother of Jesus, confronts us with strong words designed to call us to live out a bold and active faith in Christ. In this sermon by Pastor Seth Winterhalter, we examine James 1:13-15 where James teaches that distorted desires give birth to sin. Sin has a predictable pathway that starts with our distorted desires and ends with our death. The key to killing sin is asking the Spirit of God to reveal our distorted desires so that we can exchange them for desires rooted in the goodness of God. This is not an option.
