Christopher Wood's novelisation of his screenplay of The Spy Who Loved Me (co-written with Richard Maibaum) is unlike most novelisations a reimagining of the story. Wood's James Bond is closer to Ian Fleming and the tone of the book is much darker than the film with many differences from the finished movie.
