James K. Polk delivered inaugural address on March 4th, 1845. Read by Yuvraj Singh. The 11th president of the United States, Polk served a single term. Prior to becoming president, he served in the House of Representatives and as Governor of Tennessee. The size of the United States grew through the Mexican-American War; his presidency saw the annexation of Texas, the Oregon Territory, and the Mexican Cession (which included California, Utah, and Nevada; as well as parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming).
