James 2:8-13 is the text for this sermon entitled "Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment."

 James tells us that God's royal law provides for mercy over judgment.  There is a difference between doing right things and being a right person, one who cares for the priorities of the kingdom. Jesus faced religious leaders who did not have mercy. It is quite extraordinary, and almost unbelievable, that he stirred up so much controversy with the Jewish leaders every time he engaged in an act of mercy that did not meet their criteria! G.Jesus offers mercy to those who feel that they are not worthy of such forgiveness and acceptance.
