James asked me to look for this story and by amazing luck, someone had uploaded it to archive in 2020.

As you know, James’ eyes have been giving him a lot of trouble, so I have read the story aloud here for him, and for you. The concept and the imagery in this short piece are strikingly similar to the Nords Saga, which LaFond began years ago. I really believe that James and Howard share something uncanny that we can witness in their fiction. If you enjoy the reading, you might be interested in Who Writes the Songs of Night?
This is the first third of Chapter 2, going up for all visitors and subscribers. The second part (about twice as long) will go up next week for subscribers only.
Chapter One of the Logic of Steel, which is available along with The Fighting Edge, in a single volume known as The Violence Project, read for you by Lynn Lockhart. This is almost 45 minutes of audio and my voice got pretty tired by the end. I hope it’s ok!
I had to hold back the laughter a lot while reading this chapter!
EDIT: I had to cut the audio short because I found that a portion repeated and another portion is missing. Hoping to record the missing pages this evening and I’ll make a new post with the complete recording of Chapter 1. My apologies!
This book has a few sections that come before the first chapter and that’s what you are getting here. If you like this book, please consider buying it! Here is the link:

This book is a true classic and you can’t go wrong owning it, reading it, cherishing it, but in light of the recent police shooting of a minor with a knife, it will serve you well in understanding the violent world we live in.
I’m putting this up for everyone but future installments will be for subscribers only.
Kisses,
Lynn
