Jamie’s basking in awards, ambition, and Deirdre’s bed, so naturally she assumes she can star in her girlfriend’s play— by appropriating  a role meant for a Black actor.  What follows is a quietly brutal masterclass in boundaries, authorship, and exactly how far affection goes before reality takes over.
