What is it like to hear the Shepherd's voice? It's interesting that Jesus doesn't say, "They will know I'm real because they will understand everything I say," or, "they will be mine because I will convince them." Knowing someone's voice is without regard to what they say, it's a familiarity with what they sound like. How do we do that? By listening often.
