From becoming an Austin Music Scene powerhouse to creating and sharing the emotional human stories of Vietnamese, Laotian, and Burmese textiles, Jan Mirkin-Earley has always operated from one driving core philosophy: Be guided by the gripping creative forces in your life when they speak to you. Jan followed a calling into the music world with an unexpected introduction to the music of a legendary Texas musician at a young age. Years later, a chance glimpse of a small vintage textile in a tiny Vietnamese restaurant took her on a years-long quest into the mountains and valleys of that country and others to unearth and share their stories.
