Janel Lamb is a law enforcement wife, mother of 5, public speaker, and author. She shares her personal story of losing her son Cooper, daughter-in-law Caroline, and granddaughter Elaine (Laney) in a tragic accident. Janel and her husband, Mark, navigated the difficult tasks and emotions that come with such a devastating loss differently but with acceptance. They found strength in their strong union and complementary roles. Janel emphasizes the importance of allowing others to support and serve you during times of grief. She talks about the significance of small acts of kindness and thoughtfulness, finding comfort in signs and messages from Cooper, and the process of grieving and finding ways to remember and honor her sweet family. She talks about the funeral arrangements and how her other children stepped up to support her and fill specific roles during this difficult time. She also discusses the different ways people grieve and the need for support and resources for those going through similar experiences.
