About Janine Broussard
Janine Broussard is the founder of the Help Us Grow (H.U.G.) Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on early childhood learning and development. The H.U.G. program is innovative in its design as it’s personalized to each child, with a central focus on improving their literacy. The program is oriented to improving the literacy of children in grades one through three, crucially impactful years of learning and of building an educational foundation. Janine collaborates with reading professionals to develop and deliver a targeted, structured reading curriculum, which has received national recognition for its results. Recognizing the importance of mental and emotional health in one’s ability to persevere and tackle life’s difficulties, Janine also created BE THE DIFFERENCE™, an interactive program woven into the H.U.G. sessions that reinforces positive behavior change and instills core values. The foundation, a 501c3 organization since 2016, has vetted and approved programs in the states of Kentucky and Florida. As part of its growing network of volunteers, H.U.G. seeks people of all ages—from seniors and college students to leaders and employees of corporations—to BE THE DIFFERENCE™ in their communities.
