Silver Ferns coach Janine Southby's throwing plenty of faith behind her latest addition.
Claire Kersten's been called into next month's Commonwealth Games squad, after defender Kayla Cullen was ruled out with an ongoing knee injury.
Southby says while Cullen's a big loss, Kersten brings a lot to the table
"Claire's a really level-headed, down to earth person. She's a real grafter. She works hard. People would have seen her playk consistently well over the last few seasons with the Pulse in the ANZ. We know that when we put her out there, she's going to give us everything shes got."
