<p>The Gospel of John was the last gospel written, and John starts with an agenda: Jesus was God, part of the Trinity from the beginning. As we also read Genesis 1 today, particularly the plural way that God refers to God’s self (in “our” image), we remember that Jesus was always God remains God, and was God from the beginning.</p>
