We forgive because it is central in God's will for us. We forgive for our own sake because it makes a difference in our lives. We seek forgiveness because we desperately need it in our lives. Forgiveness is always a choice that we make. We can all forgive. It may take time. Forgiveness gives up the hope of changing the past and opens a different and better future. Forgiveness is believing that the future can be better than the past.
