Today we are covering Exodus 25-32. We will read about God's instructions for building the Tabernacle and Ark of the Covenant (in this version it is called the Ark of God's Word, an easier to understand word than Covenant.) We will see how God's people were easily frightened about Moses being gone for a long time with God and how they responded by making an idol to worship!
We will discuss the application to our own life, to try and remember the times that God has shown Himself faithful to us and take care of us and provide for us so that we do not forget about the need to look to HIM when we are worried or scared about anything. We will look back on how God instructed the Jewish people to ask the Egyptian people for gold and silver before they left Egypt and see how God was providing for the building of the Tabernacle and the Ark of His Word! I would like to encourage you today to do a search for images of the Ark of the Covenant and God's Tabernacle, so that you can see what they would have looked like! And, as always, if you are hungry for more details about the events that we read about today, please head to your full version Bible and read through Exodus 25-32, the chapters we covered today.
