Today we will be reading something VERY exciting in Exodus 33-34.  God shows his back to Moses and Moses' face SHINES after being in God's presence!  God and Moses talk to each other like FRIENDS! And guess what? We can, too. Jesus told his disciples that he called them his friends, not servants, for a servant does not know his master's work, but Jesus told them everything. Jesus is our friend, too! We will also read about God replacing the tablets that Moses broke and God once again asserts that the people are not to worship ANY idol or god besides HIM. We will again talk about the application of that in OUR OWN lives today, especially in reference to Jesus' salvation. He bought and paid for us. We belong to HIM, and no one should be idolized or thought of as our hero besides HIM, as HE is the one who has truly saved us from death.
