The Hang-O-Matic

The Hang-O-Matic was developed by the husband/wife team of Jared and Karina Rabin. In 2008, Jared and Karina were first time homeowners and facing a task every homeowner, handyman, decorator, and college students have faced. Karina was decorating her new home office and the seemingly simple task of hanging a shelf straight on a wall proved a challenge. So after making several trips to the hardware store and patching and repainting the wall, the shelf was installed and proudly displaying an irreplaceable snow globe Karina had received from her in-laws. Most importantly, it had sentimental value. Before she could finish decorating, the snow globe fell, shattering to pieces, with water spilling everywhere. The shelf was slightly tilted.

Jared remembered a picture hanging tool he had invented in college. So he dusted off the first prototype of the Hang-O-Matic and hung the shelf perfectly level in one try. This tool worked just too good to keep to themselves, they had to share it with the world. And with Jared’s clever design and Karina’s vision for success, the Hang-O-Matic was born and together this couple set out to pursue their American Dream and make life a little easier along the way.

is the Inventor of Hang-O-Matic an All-In-One picture-hanging tool that measures, levels and marks the wall all simultaneously. So Jared invented the product while in college and after more than 15 years of development, he’s receiving two patents.  There were many twists and turns as he has gotten his product into over 11,000 major retail outlets including Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Bed Bath & Beyond, and many more stores.

Jared has become a Speaker at the “Inventors Corner” for the International Housewares Show (The Worlds Largest International Housewares Trade Show), a weekly guest on “Inventors Launch Pad” Podcast, hosts “The Pitch to Get Rich” Facebook LIVE and YouTube show where he shares how you can get your product into retail too.
