Jason and Ida

Sydney Kings guard Jason Cadee has been reunited with the "guardian angel" that saved his life in a car accident nearly seven years ago.

Cadee, now 25, was in a near-fatal car accident on July 12th 2010 when a semi-trailer slammed into the driver's side of his car while driving down the M7 in Sydney’s west.

He passed out just before the collision, but when he regained consciousness a woman was sitting next to him in the car. Jason did not know who she was or how she came to be sitting with her. All he remembered was her name, Ida.

A search initiated by the Kings early this year managed to track down the woman whose full name is Idamarie Wetere. 

Ida and Jason were introduced for the first time since the accident following the Kings' comprehensive 84-57 win over the New Zealand Breakers.
