For Spear Talk 44, we had the honor to spend time with U.S. Army veteran, Jason Piccolo! On top of being a Army Captain, Jason was also a U.S. Border Patrol Agent, an author of two books, the host of The Protector's Podcast, and has a doctorate in strategic security!

Our discussion focused on burn pits and their affect on the lives of not only military personnel, but civilians and contractors in the Iraq and Afghanistan regions. Jason was able to break down the history of burn pits, why they were created, and the medical issues that have plagued those who have been around them! One of the amazing organizations, which Jason is affiliated with through his new podcast, GROUNDTRUTH, is the HunterSeven Foundation! We learn all about the organization and their quest to help all who are affected but not only burn pits, but from other local environments and medical exposures!
