Jason was born and raised in Alaska but left the state at the impressionable age of 17 after becoming addicted to the glitz and glamor of life as a mathematician. He graduated from Berkeley, high on elliptic curves and modular forms, and immediately enrolled at the University of Washington where he binged on number theory and numerical linear algebra before tottering out with three more degrees in math and applied math. Finally, then-Dr. Slemons decided to break from math and work at Cray, the supercomputer company headquartered in Seattle. This was fine until his wife Lia demanded they move back to Alaska before a life of debauchery completely took hold. Since returning, Jason has kept his temperance pledge and codes diligently for PangoMedia, a gang of programming consultants.
