A movie centered on themes of regret, dedication, Hollywood, and family. There are several harsh reviews here, likely from fans of Matvel and TikTok, but I found this film quite touching.
To start, Clooney and Sandler deliver outstanding performances. Sure, Clooney is essentially portraying himself, but Sandler shines as the manager who invests everything yet gains nothing in return.
Baumbach's direction is strong, with a delicate handling of the shifts between memory and reality.
I definitely recommend it, though it may not appeal to Marvel enthusiasts.
