How many brands are we going to build and not get our proper compensation?
Name a tech company that’s valued at $1B+ that hip-hop culture hasn’t helped get there?
You can’t.
Yet, we don’t own.
You got a bunch of grown men and women begging these tech geeks for marketing deals for a company they helped build.
And that marketing check usually goes to someone else (business manager) before it gets to the artist.
This is ass backwards.
We gotta stop asking.
We gotta start owning.

All damn near at a billy because they own.
What do you own?
Your music.
Then why aren’t you marketing it yourself?
Stop waiting to get signed.
It’s a pipe dream that is waiting to rip you off.
