He spent his childhood in Arlington, Virginia and dug his mother’s love of the Beatles and  discovered R&B, especially Stevie Wonder, James Brown & the J.B.’s and Marvin Gaye– He went on to the Berkl ee College of Music - Florida State University and beyond to get his jazz education .. but, his was a chance encounter with Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue that got his jazz world vaulted into orbit ..
