The Celtics score 130 points, win the turnover battle 19-6, outscore the Jazz 31-10 on points off turnovers, shoot 22-22 from the FT line and shoot 52% from the field. Looking at those stats, there is no way I could imagine the Celtics losing but the Jazz put on a historic 3 point shooting performance. The Jazz shot 27-51 from the 3 point line alone and their starters shot 19-30 (63%). No matter how well you play, it is going to be really hard to compete with a team like that. NBA Tracking Data put out a stat saying that the Celtics contested 41 of 51 3 point shots which tells me that the Jazz just wouldn't miss. Offensively we saw the game we have been waiting for. The ball was moving, the shots were falling and we got the FT line a bunch. Defensively we contested a lot of shots, did a solid job of switching for the most part and defended Gobert fairly well. This is a frustrating one for sure.
