Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Vocalist & Pianist Joanna Wallfisch .. She grew up in London in a very musical family .. she is the daughter of classical cellist Raphael and violinist Elizabeth – She is promoting her new 2016 album Gardens in My Mind – it includes folk, jazz, contemporary and indie pop music to create the textured tapestry of the album .. In addition to singing, she plays the piano and ukulele .. She made her way to New York City in 2012 and has gone on to tour and work with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, Fred Hersch, Lee Konitz, Rob Garcia, and many others ..
