JD is a former high school All-American from Garland, Texas, who went on to start for the University of Oklahoma as a redshirt freshman. JD then transferred to the University of Montana after being dismissed from OU when evidence of NCAA violations surfaced stemming from JD receiving  money from a car dealership despite not actually working there.

Terry was an Athletic Director and head football and head baseball coach for over 40 years, and he is a 2020 inductee of the Texas High School Baseball Hall of Fame. He retired with a record of 144 wins and 37 losses in football and 652 wins and 134 losses in baseball with 6 consecutive trips to the State Championship tournament.
