Be Fairy Afraid Podcast

Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont - Prince Darling

Listen Later

Once upon a time, comedians Fiona Ridgewell & Louise Atkinson started a podcast exploring fairy tales, folklore, myths, and legends. But, these aren't the nice, fluffy versions of the stories everyone knows and loves. They're the original, darker, sordid ones from long ago.

On this episode of the Be Fairy Afraid Podcast, Fiona & Louise read Prince Darling (Prince Chéri) is a French literary fairy tale written by Madame Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, a story about how A prince learns how to have empathy with the help of a fairy.

Louise & Fiona also talk about flat pack furniture, passing their 'how to carry a box' health and safety exams, and if owning a cardboard version of Chris Hemsworth is acceptable.

Give it a listen and please like & subscribe on YouTube, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Now, in the words of Giambattista Basile, from his story The Enchanted Doe - shut your mouths, open your ears, and hear what I shall tell you.

Hope you enjoy! :-)
