Jehu was a little-known king of Israel. Through this one unheralded hero, Jehovah overturned generations of witchcraft, immorality and disobedience to His laws.

All he possessed was a record of obedience to God’s commands – it was not because of his ability, but because of his availability.

However, later in life, Jehu did not keep the law of the Lord with all of his heart. Jehu began to lose battles, and Israel began to become a second-rate power.

All he lacked was one thing – he did not seek the Lord with all his heart.
