Jennie, the human ape

Loved the story. Saved at birth though orphaned. Happy human adoption subsequently. Laughs. Many gratifying moments. Then back to some sad and challenging times for Jennie and her family. Jennie, is the mischievous ape/chimp , playful, loving, intelligent, humanized animal who learns sign language. The confusion for this lovely creature as to whether she is human or an ape, accelerates as she ages. The ending was somewhat predictable as the story develops, and then again, it wasn't. Another must read by this author.

Spellbinding

This is fiction that rings with truth...about what it means to be human; we must look deeply into ourselves and question our attitudes and treatment of animals...these amazing other beings.
