Negrita is an endearing term, not an offensive term . IAt times it has nothing to do with the color of someone's skin, but used as a flirtatious cat calling one may say. A husband in Colombia might refer to his wife as "mi negrita"...a woman to her man "mi negrito."...these ito or ita is a diminutive suffix added to soften the word .negrito, chiquitito...gordito (fat) etc
