Jeremiah 21:8-9 - Punishment

* God was going to punish Israel for her sin, and the only way they would survive is if they submitted to the punishment God was bringing.

* If they submitted they lived. If they didn’t they died. It was their choice.

* When God has to discipline you walk through these steps:

* 1) Repent of your sin - this gets you to recognize how sin hurts your relationship with God.

* 2) Thank God for His forgiveness - this gets your focus off you and onto Him.

* 3) Submit to the punishment - this gets you to recognize that His punishment is for your ultimate good.

* EX: Wall experience.

* We not only cleaned our lives up but we also saw God’s amazing hand at paying for everything in cash!

*
