The purpose of Jeremiah was to declare God's judgement upon His people and call them to repentance and spiritual restoration through the Gospel. This passage shows us how we have a part in our relationship with God. Does your heart belong to God or something in the world? We must not be afraid to follow Jesus for He never has and never will go back on His promises.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future."
