Jerry Craft is one of only a hand full of African American syndicated cartoonists in the United States. He recently left the syndication world to focus on middle school books for kids with his critically acclaimed book released in 2019 entitled, "New Kid". In this episode Jerry talks about how difficult it is for an African American cartoon strip to break into the world of comic strips.
He also discusses the current state of affairs and racial divide in the country.
