Brad Ferland starts the show by welcoming back Jerry Johnson from Vermont League of Writers. Their writer's workshop "Into the Words" was postponed a month due to flooding. Jerry updates us on the event now being held Saturday, August 19.

Then Brad is joined in-studio by Cora Smith. Cora is a recent UVM graduate and current freelance reporter for Barre Times Argus and Rutland Herald. They discuss her decision to stay and work in Vermont after college, and how she views the current state of print journalism.

And then, Brad talks with Melinda White, co-chair of Coming Together, A Substance Use Addiction Summit. Their second annual summit was just held in Essex.
