Tom Cruise plays big-time sports agent Jerry Maguire, a man that risks and subsequently loses everything when he distributes a heartfelt manifesto about the being less evil agents to his co-workers.  Maguire develops a relationship with Renee Zellweger’s character, a single mom in her mid-20s (she will mention this!) and his rogue coworker. Cuba Gooding Jr. stars in his Oscar-winning Best Supporting Actor role as Maguire’s last remaining client, plays a fading sports star determined to provide for his beloved family. Regina King shines as the supportive matriarch. More than twenty years after the film’s 1996 release, the heartfelt sentiment remains endearing. The hosts discuss the iconic lines, Cameron Crowe’s directing, how the movie dips into about 20 minutes of Shiterion territory, and admit to missing Tom Cruise play serious roles.
