Today we speak to Jesse Crosson, released from prison in 2021 after serving 19 years of a 32 year sentence for crimes committed at the age of 18.
Jesse was sentenced to 32 years for crimes he committed at the age of 18. By taking accountability and making a decision to move forward he was able to transform his life while behind bars. He earned a bachelor's degree, mentored other prisoners, taught programs, became a licensed electrician and eventually was granted a conditional pardon by the governor after 19 years. He works to humanize people behind bars, argues for greater resources for victims of crimes and seeks to share the message that change is possible, even in the darkest of times.
