Jessica Byrd is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Long Beach, California. With influences like Sara Bareilles, The Civil Wars, Phil Wickham, and Colbie Caillat, her original music has developed into a pop sound with occasional country undertones. She released her debut EP "California Kid” in 2013, and the January 2014 issue of Music Connection Magazine said, "Byrd's buoyant original tunes, like 'California Kid' are the audio equivalent of sunshine, and she has the kind of appealing vocal tonality (including sweet harmonic blends) to carry it home." In 2016, her YouTube cover of MercyMe’s “I Can Only Imagine” won her first place in 95.9 radio's Starfish competition. She then performed on the main stage at The Irvine Meadows Amphitheater for the Christian music festival Fishfest in June of 2016. Currently, she is managing and singing for the corporate jazz band Martini Five-0, leading worship, teaching music, and working on the release of her next single.
