Jessica Hewitt recently went through an experience most of have endured: The strange conundrum when he have a passion like trail running, but our minds tire of it, our bodies get run down, and we focus our energies either elsewhere or towards doing nothing. It’s then that we find ourselves trying to convince ourselves to do something that we truly love to do. If you think about it, it’s a pretty strange predicament, right?

In this interview, we try to differentiate between mojo and motivation, address some reasons for losing focus, fears of sidelining ourselves, and discuss what steps can be taken to get back at it.

Here’s our interview with licensed therapist Drew Mikita when he tried to walk me through the fine balance of mojo, burnout, and excessive enthusiasm.

And here’s our interview with Traci Falbo from last year where she spoke at length about losing her mojo and desire to race. Good stuff from an elite perspective.
