186: Jessica Jones

Though she first appeared in comics in 2001, it turns out Jessica Jones had been in the Marvel Universe the whole time. She saw Peter Parker get bitten by that fateful spider, and she witnessed the defeat of Galactus at the hands of the Fantastic Four. An accident gave her powers of her own, and she enjoyed a brief super hero career until she fell into the clutches of the Purple Man. Despite her many trials she has emerged as a hero, a mother and a survivor. Thanks Kirby Krackle for the theme music!
