Being a Marvel fan, and reading some of the later versions of the Marvel comics.  I ran into the Alias series that jumped into realistic problems people go through but just happen to be super powered individuals.   The Alias series centers on the emotionally battered Jessica Jones which Netflix saw some value to make it a series.
