All of us have had persons connected to our lives who have sown seeds of kindness, grace, righteousness and hope. What kind of seeds are you scattering and planting in your life? What type of harvest will others see and benefit from --- at your life’s end?
The following Scripture is at the death, funeral, and resurrection of Lazarus:
John 11:23-27 (NKJV) 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Hebrews 9:27-28 (NKJV) 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
Are you ready to die? The Bible repeatedly challenges us to face this question. See you in worship this week as we discuss this question and as we celebrate “life forever” in Jesus Christ. We will also share together in Holy Communion which is a vivid reminder of Christ’s death but is also a vivid reminder of the “life” we have in Him.
