As we take some time to really understand the gospel message about the kingdom and see just where the Church or religion is part of that message, we need to understand something about the culture of Jesus. Jesus was not some sterile idea or philosophy that we mold into modern times or comprehend from our own perspective. Jesus was a person who grew up in a culture that influenced him, and that culture is what we find in the Catholic faith as the thing that changes us and brings us into a new family or culture. A family or culture of the gospel kingdom.
