Bible Text: Luke 13:1-13 | Preacher: Major Pat Brown | Series: Single Sermons | In this sermon from Luke 13, special guest Major Pat Brown (Divisional Leader for Leader Development) introduces four anonymous women who encountered Jesus.
The Stained Glass Window
Her sermon literally paints a stained glass window of these encounters as each woman is represented by four colours: earth, for the woman who was healed from being bent over double; blue, for the woman who met Jesus at a well and discovered he knew all about her; purple, for the woman who poured perfume on Jesus from her alabaster jar; and orange, for the Canaanite woman who dared to ask Jesus to heal her sick daughter, even those she was a Gentile woman.
Asking to See Through Jesus’ Eyes
In this sermon from Luke 13, we are encouraged to ask the Holy Spirit to provide his perspective as we encounter people in our lives.
