2 Peter 1:12, For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. (NKJV)
In John 4 we see the story of Jesus and the woman at the well. She was going to get water at a time when none of the others would be there because the other women hated her. She was the town prostitute, she slept with all the other women’s husbands. Nobody else wanted, cared or felt for her. But Jesus needed to be there. He needed to be where the people who are perceived to be bad are. Jesus who is a Rabbi, a Jew, a leader, has been teaching all over the place. He speaks to the women who is a prostitute, an adulterer and a Samaritan.
Jesus doesn’t get pretentious or argumentative, he finds something good to tell her, he compliments her honesty. You’re an honest person, you might be a mess, but you are honest. We as Christian’s should respond this way to the bad people we meet!
